One of the few weaknesses of the current Golden State Warriors dynasty is apathy. Steve Kerr knows he has the most talented team on the court every time they step on the floor. But making sure his team is motivated night in and night out is a tougher job than it would appear.

That being said, Kerr is loving what he sees in training camp thus far. He told Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle:

“I think it’s the best camp we’ve had in my five years here.”

The Warriors are aware that this could be the last time this core plays a season together. Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are free agents next summer, while Draymond Green hits the open market in 2020. The threat of an impending breakup could serve to motivate Golden State rather than distract.

This might be the most talented team Golden State's ever had. It's their third year with Durant and they could complete the rare three-peat. It was last done by  Shaq and Kobe Los Angeles Lakers of the early 2000s.

Although he's still working his way back from an Achilles injury, DeMarcus Cousins rounds out the Warriors' starting lineup, making them virtually unbeatable if healthy. Kerr's faced with the task of figuring out how to integrate Cousins into the lineup without hurting chemistry, but that will come in time. They have too much talent for it not to work.

So long as Kerr keeps the team motivated, with their eyes on the prize, he'll be hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy for the fourth time in five years.
