Moses Moody has not played a major role for the Golden State Warriors this season. After being selected 14th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, the former Arkansas standout has been in and out of the lineup for head coach Steve Kerr. Well, it sounds like that's all about to change.

Moody made waves after dropping a career-high 30 points on Monday against the Denver Nuggets. That's definitely one way of calling the attention of the basketball world, and it appears that Moody has now earned himself a more significant role for the Warriors.

Dubs head coach Steve Kerr recently talked about Moody's development. According to the three-time champion coach, the 19-year-old has been a major subject between himself and his coaching staff of late:

“We’ve been talking about Moody in our coaches’ meetings every day for about six weeks because we’ve seen it coming,” Kerr said on 95.7 The Game’s Damon and Ratto, via Tristi Rodriguez of NBC Sports. “In practices, in the G League games that he’s played, in his demeanor and his instincts and his questions.”

Kerr then talked up Moody's maturity level and what he can bring to the table for the Warriors. Based on his statement here, it sounds like coach Kerr is ready to finally unleash Moody:

“He’s 19 going on 28,” Kerr said on the podcast. “This guy is just so mature and he’s got a great size and he shoots the ball so well. I saw it coming, but it probably took a little more time to allow it to happen just because of the changes that were already happening with our team, with the injuries, [Jonathan] Kuminga playing more. It had to be the right time and now it seems like the right time for Moses.”

Injuries have been a major issue for the Warriors of late but the silver lining to all this is that the situation has given other players on the roster an opportunity to prove their worth. This is exactly what Moses Moody has done and it appears that he has done well enough in the eyes of head coach Steve Kerr.
