The Golden State Warriors came out scorching hot against the Atlanta Hawks, scoring 67 points in the first half. Unfortunately, a disastrous third quarter cooled Steve Kerr's men down.

Golden State was 0-of-6 from three in the third period, and their struggles allowed Trae Young and the Hawks to completely take over the game. Atlanta outscored the Warriors 32-16, giving them a 101-83 lead going into the fourth.

As bad as that sounds, Kerr didn't think that was the worst part of the game.

“In the final two minutes of the half, we had a nine-point lead with about two minutes left, and if I'm not mistaken, I think they scored the final 11 points and changed the entire feel of the game,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

When the Hawks went on that 11-0 run, it gave them a 69-67 lead at halftime.

“At that point, it felt like we were going to be the aggressor,” Kerr said. “We were going to be in control. We still hadn't made stops, but it felt like we were going to, and then that last two minutes were kind of a disaster.”

The Warriors fought back in the fourth quarter and made the game competitive. But by then, the Hawks had too much momentum. The Dubs outscored the home team 27-20, and the final score was 121-110.

Golden State has now lost four of their last five games. Next, the Warriors will face the Washington Wizards. It will be the first game of back-to-back road games. These are games the Dubs desperately need to win to build some momentum heading into the postseason.
