Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is pleased with the contribution of three second unite players despite the underwhelming performance of Stephen Curry.
It was a blowout Friday night win for the Warriors at Chase Center as the Dubs thrashed the New Orleans Pelicans 126-85. Contrary to what was expected, Stephen Curry was not the star of the show, having nailed only 5 of his 15 shots from the field. Jordan Poole led all Warriors scorers with 26 points but Steve Kerr was more thrilled to have witnessed the bench pull off a “phenomenal” performance.

They all played 17 minutes. That's pretty impressive.”
“I thought New Orleans really came out in that first quarter, they were playing hard and knocking down shots and the bench came in and kind of settled us down and got some stops and got the game back in our favor,” he raved.
Indeed, it was a remarkable production from the Warriors bench as Nemanja Bjelica and Gary Payton II combined for a stunning tally of 30 points. Veteran forward Andre Iguodala, on the other hand, did not make his presence felt in the scoring department but registered a team-high 10 assists in just 17 minutes of action.
The Warriors will be looking to continue where they left off when the team faces the Houston Rockets on Sunday.
