The whole world knows the special relationship between Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. Throughout the years, they have been kindred spirits and it's always a joy to see.

But on Tuesday night, as the Warriors visited the Spurs, the two good friends had a heated exchange during a lull in the game. And by heated, we mean the oven was set to 10 degrees. Because after their brief argument, Kerr and Popovich simply laughed it off like they're in a sitcom (via NBA on ESPN).

If that didn't make you smile, then you are as hard as Kevon Looney (does he ever smile?).

Kerr, as a player, helped Popovich win two NBA titles in 1999 and 2003. The sharpshooting guard was in his final years in the league, and he made sure he was learning under the legendary Spurs mentor. Soon enough, Kerr became a successful coach in his own right, leading the Warriors to three NBA crowns. They've also won together as part of Team USA's brain trust.

Kerr has always credited Popovich for being a mentor to him. Popovich, meanwhile, has also showered praises on his protege. Some observers have even compared the Spurs and the Warriors for their similar focus on ball movement and embracing accountability.

It's also not a coincidence that Kerr and Popovich share the same snarky sense of humor while also being extra vocal on social issues.

The only question now is this: When will they team up in public office?
