America has been shaken again by another gun-related incident in Texas last Sunday that killed 26 citizens. The massacre came just a little over a month after the Las Vegas shooting that left 59 people dead.
For Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, that’s one too many lives lost to trigger a massive change in the way we control the ownership of firearms.
That topic is always going to be a contentious one. Everyone has their opinions from people who want a tighter gun control to those who will forever cling to the second amendment. The Warriors coach isn’t a big fan of the latter notion, and he made that clear again in a statement he recently made following the Texas shooting, per Chris Haynes of ESPN.

The subject of gun control is something that especially strikes Steve Kerr, whose father was shot dead in 1984 while teaching at the American University in Lebanon.
Kerr is definitely trying to use his platform as coach of a prominent basketball team to lead the campaign for gun control and he certainly isn’t going to stop speaking about it as long as no significant amendments to gun laws are made.
