All the key players from the Golden State Warriors' five-year Finals run have been able to rest this season except for Draymond Green, whom Warriors head coach Steve Kerr calls the “lone survivor.”

Beyond Green, the rest of the core is either injured or has moved on from Golden State. Stephen Curry is out with a broken left hand; Klay Thompson is still rehabbing his left ACL tear; Kevin Durant is expected to miss the entire season for the Brooklyn Nets due to his Achilles tear; Andre Iguodala won't play a single game for the Memphis Grizzles and is waiting for his situation to be resolved; Shaun Livingston is retired.

Kerr says Green is the only player from the Warriors' dynasty who hasn't been able to decompress after an exhausting five year run:

“Draymond's the one guy who hasn't been able to kind of decompress after the five-year run,” Kerr says, via Nick Friedell of ESPN. “Everybody else — Shaun [Livingston] retired, Andre [Iguodala] hasn't played — they would all tell you the same thing: That five-year run is just exhausting.

“And so literally everybody else is getting to recharge their batteries, one way or the other, but here's Draymond. I call him the lone survivor.”

Green has sat out a few games here and there this season, but for the most part, he's been in the fire with the Warriors in what has been a down season. He's averaging 9.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 29.3 minutes per game, below his production of the past five years but still solid.

The Warriors currently have the worst record in the Western Conference and will miss the playoffs for the first time in the Kerr era. They are expected to receive a high lottery pick and get Curry and Thompson back next season.
