The Golden State Warriors are preparing for their final season at Oracle Arena. The two-time defending champions are heading across the Golden Gate Bridge for new digs in San Francisco. They will begin playing in the Chase Center in the 2019-20 season, ending a remarkable run at Oracle.

When asked how he feels regarding the move, Steve Kerr told Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle:

“We’re all bummed to be moving on from Oracle. … You can’t replicate that atmosphere.”

Oracle Arena is one of the most difficult places to play in all of sports. During Kerr's four-year tenure with Golden State, the Warriors have a sparkling record of 171-27 at home (including playoffs). That is an eye-popping stat that shows just how dominant Kerr's Warriors have been at Oracle.

While it's unlikely that the Warriors' home dominance will cease because they're moving to a new arena, it won't have the same feel Oracle has. The meteoric rise of the Stephen Curry-led Warriors coincided with an explosion in support for the team.

This season will be the last year in Oracle Arena, but it could also be the final year of the current Warriors' core. Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are both free agents following this season and both could take their talents to the open market. Durant and Thompson are locks to secure a max contract next summer if they decide to part ways with Golden State.

This could be the final season of the Golden State dynasty as we know it. Moving from Oracle may serve as a symbol for the impending changes.
