Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is aware of the judgement and criticism his team is receiving, and the three-time NBA champion coach is not surprised at all.
Kerr said that Golden State is the most scrutinized team in league history. The veteran bench tactician strongly believes that they are on par with the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls team in the 1990s, or even worse:
“We're maybe the most scrutinized team in the history of the league,” Kerr said, per ESPN's Nick Friedell. “We're right there with the Bulls teams that I played on. I felt the same, but even more so now because of the number of media outlets and the immediacy of the judgement and criticism.”
The Warriors have had their rough stretches during a 23-12 start to the season. Some fans are already pushing the panic button, especially after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in blowout fashion on Christmas Day. According to ESPN, the Warriors have lost by 20 or more points five times this season – the most in the Kerr era.

However, Kerr is not too worried about their current state. He pointed out that they are now experiencing the norm in the NBA, and that they just cannot expect to win 73 games again. He expressed confidence that his team will overcome the adversity as long as they can keep working together.
Warriors superstar Kevin Durant echoed Kerr's statement. The two-time NBA champion admitted that they are not playing well as of late, but he is quite sure that they will eventually get there when it matters the most.
“I feel like we know we are not playing as well as we should,” Durant said. “But we know we got a long season ahead.”
As long as the Warriors are healthy for the playoffs, they should be just fine.
