Many believe that the reason for Klay Thompson's shooting struggles lies in his mechanics. But for Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, Thompson's form looks technically sound.

Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Kerr said:

“I’ve never seen a more technically sound shot than Klay Thompson’s. It’s spectacular.”

Various basketball analysts believe that there might be something wrong with Thompson's shooting form, which, at face value, looks pristine perfect. But the statistics reveal otherwise.

Thompson is shooting 33.7 percent from the 3-point line — a career-low. This is the first time in his career that he is shooting below 40 percent from beyond the arc. He has gone through several games without a single 3-pointer — which is very uncharacteristic of one-half of the Splash Brothers.

The only highlight for him this season is his 52-point performance where he claimed the NBA record for most 3-pointers a game with 14. He shot 58.3 percent from downtown in that game. Many believe that the historic performance would spark something in the 28-year-old. But since that game, nothing much has changed for Thompson as he's still displaying inconsistency.

If it's not his shooting mechanics, then what's bothering Thompson? Whatever it is, his underperformance is affecting his team. And other teams are taking advantage of his struggles.
