The status of Golden State Warriors defensive ace Andre Iguodala still remains somewhat unclear for coach Steve Kerr, who noted he's improved “incrementally” over the last few days, yet still remains unsure if he will be ready for a pivotal Game 6 against the Houston Rockets, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News.

The Warriors are coming off two-straight losses and now find themselves at the brink of elimination, down 3-2 in the series coming into their last homestand at Oracle Arena.

If successful, Golden State will be forced to win a game on the road at the Toyota Center in hopes to make a fourth-straight NBA Finals.

Iguodala, who has missed the last two games with a leg injury, had held the All-Star backcourt duo of Chris Paul and James Harden to a futile 1-of-41 from the field throughout the first three games of the series when he was the primary defender.

His individual defense, along with his poise and playmaking abilities have been sorely missed in this latter part of the series, proving to be at times a catalyst for this team who has had plenty of turnover woes throughout the series.

A known stabilizer, his presence will have a major effect on how this series goes down in the next few days, as his teammates hope he can make a recovery in time for a bounce-back game at home on Saturday night.
