Steve Kerr sees one major similarity between Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant: that is in the way they play with joy.
While Morant's on-court antics of celebrating and trash-talking don't sit well with some people, Kerr has no problem with it. He even admitted that he loves watching him play more than coaching against him–which is absolutely understandable given how difficult it is to game plan against the youngster.

He's fantastic, I think it's infectious with his teammates, with the crowd. Very similar dynamic to Steph. They're obviously very different players but that joy and freedom you see with Steph is there with Ja as well,” the Warriors coach shared, per NBC Sports.
For what it's worth, it's not only Steve Kerr who sees the similarity. Even Stephen Curry himself noted the joy and edge Ja Morant plays with, although he pointed out that the way they express it is different.
Still, it's easy to see where the comparisons are coming from. Both Steph and Ja are a joy to watch, and seeing them go up against each other is even more electrifying and entertaining.
As Kerr highlighted, they have this infectious energy that powers their teammates even more. And by the looks of it, fans will get to see more of that as they continue what could be a long Western Conference semifinals series.
