Monday night, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green made his NBA return against the Washington Wizards. Steve Kerr finally has his Big 3 back together, just like old times. The only change was Green wasn't in the starting lineup.
“Well, we discussed it, so because of the minute's restriction it’s hard – we found this with Klay and Otto (Porter Jr.), it’s really hard to start a guy with a minutes restriction and get him into the meaningful parts of the game,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “This is very temporary. Probably just a couple of games for Draymond and then he will be back to the starting lineup. It’s all based on minutes and so that he can close the game and close the half, that sort of thing.”
Draymond Green received a huge ovation when he checked into the game for the first time in the night. The All-Star didn't waste any time getting started. In his first play of the game, he assisted Curry for a 3-pointer that got the two-time MVP going.

It wasn't just Curry who got off to a good start once Green entered the game. He lit a spark in everyone on the court. Curry had a team-high 20 points at the half. Jordan Poole scored 14, and Klay Thompson had 12. The swiss army knife Green recorded five points, five assists and four rebounds in 11 minutes.
The Warriors jumped out to a 73-57 lead over the Wizards. It was the best first half the team has played in weeks, and it's largely because of Green.
Eventually, the Dubs used that strong half to repel Washington, 126-112.
