Klay Thompson sparked some pretty wild rumors about him on Instagram. The Golden State Warriors star was attending a hockey match and posted an IG story with a caption that caught the attention of some of his viewers.
At first glance, the Warriors star was openly admitting that he tried to stab someone back in high school.
“During high school, I played junior hockey and still hold two league records,” said the Warriors star. “most time spent in a penalty box; and I was the only guy to ever take off his skate try and stab somebody.”
Klay Thompson's post resulted in a ton of websites taking his confession at face value.
But the Warriors star is just a big fan of one famous hockey player turned golfer, Happy Gilmore. Clearly people missed out on one of Adam Sandler's classic 90s flicks.

A quick search on Klay Thompson's background reveals nothing on his high school hockey exploits. Do your research, folks. The man was too busy getting serious buckets as a teenager to worry about ice hockey, let alone stabbing somebody with his skates.
As fun as it was seeing Klay Thompson just enjoying his rehab process away from the team, the Warriors are definitely hoping that Klay Thompson generates more headlines for his on-court play this season.
