The Golden State Warriors are headed back to the NBA Finals, after missing out the last couple of years. It is going to be the sixth time in the last eight seasons that the Warriors have reached the finals, after a dominating performance in Game 5 of their Western Conference Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks, winning 120-110. The final score is not really indicative of how one-sided the game was, either.
Warriors superstar guard Klay Thompson had a huge night, scoring a game-high 32 points. He knocked down eight shots from beyond the arc.

After the Warriors clinched the Earvin “Magic” Johnson Trophy, fans went absolutely nuts online. It left many drawing stark comparisons to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls from the 1990's.
Warriors are now the first franchise to reach the NBA Finals 6 times in an 8-season span since the Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen Bulls from 91-98. Unreal

6 Finals Appearances in 8 years… SIX. The only years they didn't make it is when the core wasn't healthy.
The Warriors are the best Dynasty since the Jordan Bulls. Unbelievable, respect greatness

Meanwhile, others are putting what Golden State has accomplished into a different perspective.
In the same year Kevin Durant was swept in the first round, the Warriors are going back to the Finals without him. Tough scene.

Remember, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant opted to leave Stephen Curry and the Warriors behind.
Incredibly, the Warriors have won 18 consecutive playoff series in the Western Conference. That's tied for an NBA record.

More than likely, Golden State is going to be favored to win their fourth NBA title since this dynasty began. It's a true credit to the Warriors organization and their ability to draft, develop and harness talent that produces on the court.
The NBA Finals are set to begin on Thursday, June 2nd. Golden State will have home court advantage, regardless of who they play. The Boston Celtics lead the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals 3-2 with Game 6 Friday night in Boston.
