The 2018-19 NBA season is drawing near and several teams around the league are still searching for players to bolster their rosters. One such team is the Golden State Warriors, who are expected to add point guard Will Cherry to their 20-man offseason roster, according to a report from Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
Cherry, now 27 years of age, is expected to join the Warriors on an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Sportando. The Oakland, CA native went undrafted in 2013 after four seasons with the University of Montana, where he earned three First-Team All-Big Sky nods and two Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year awards (2012, 2013).
Will Cherry played eight games with the Cleveland Cavaliers during their 2014-15 season, but the majority of his time has been spent overseas (Lithuania, Germany, and Turkey). His most recent stint overseas was served with a Croatian team called Cedevita Zagreb.

Whether or not Cherry will make Golden State's 15-man regular season roster remains to be seen. The Warriors currently have 13 men on guaranteed contracts, with Pat McCaw expected to be the 14th. If Cherry fails to make the cut, there is a good chance he'll be suiting up for the team's G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors
