Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors are reportedly expected to come to a quick agreement once free agency starts on June 30 should the Dubs offer the All-Star guard a five-year, $190 million maximum contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Despite tearing his left ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, Thompson and his camp are still expecting the Warriors to offer him the full five-year max.
The expectation around the league is that Golden State will come through with that deal.

The Warriors and free-agent All-Star Klay Thompson will meet in L.A. this week at the outset of free agency, league sources said. Should the Warriors enter the meeting with the five-year, $190 million maximum contract, both sides expect a quick agreement, according to sources.
Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Warriors this past season. The five-time All-Star shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.
The Warriors have to address Kevin Durant's free agency as well. Taking care of Thompson first, though, appears to be a priority for the Dubs, who can't afford to lose the sharpshooter to a team like the Los Angeles Lakers or Los Angeles Clippers.
