It's been a long road back from multiple injuries for Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson. After missing over 900 days, the sharpshooter made a full recovery in the 2021-22 season. It started with a 17-point performance in January in his season debut and ended with a season-high 41 points in April in the Dubs' season finale.
The 41-point performance resulted in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans. It wasn't just a great game. It answered the question whether or not is Thompson back.

“I feel like I've been back,” Thompson told ClutchPoints. “The consistency and these big nights weren't there like I wanted them to be, but yeah, I'm back. I'm so ready for next weekend. It's going to be a dogfight, but we're ready.”

Klay Thompson finished the season averaging 20.4 points per game. It was his sixth straight year averaging over 20 points. It's an amazing feat when you consider the amount of time he spent away from basketball.

The Bay Area still hasn't seen their team at full strength, but Thompson is peaking at the perfect time. The playoffs begin on Saturday against the Denver Nuggets. It will be a difficult matchup, but with Stephen Curry potentially returning for the first game and Thompson playing like his old self, the Warriors are a serious threat.
It is the team’s first trip to the postseason since Thompson was injured in the NBA Finals in 2019, and the entire organization is overjoyed to be back. It's just the beginning. As happy as they are, they'll only be satisfied if they win it all.
