Regardless of how many teams Dwyane Wade has played for in the NBA, at the end of his illustrious and decorated career, he will always be viewed as a Miami Heat. It is with the Heat that he blossomed into a bonafide NBA star and won all his three titles to date. That’s also the same reason why the crowd inside the AmericanAirlines Arena on Friday erupted when one of Wade checked in for the Heat for the first time in almost two years.

Watch and hear how Miami’s home crowd went completely bonkers when Dwyane Wade entered the ball game with just a little over five minutes remaining in the first quarter against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Wade absolutely deserved that kind of welcome from Heat fans. After all, Wade was instrumental in bringing South Beach’s first-ever NBA title parade in 2006, when he and Shaquille O’Neal led Miami in defeating the Dallas Mavericks in the Finals.

Wade declined a two-year, $40 million offer from the Heat in 2016, and signed a two-year deal worth $47 million with the Chicago Bulls instead. He would reach a buyout with the Bulls the following year, paving the way for his reunion with former Miami running mate LeBron James in Cleveland. His stint with the Cavs did not also last long, as he was traded last Thursday to Miami for a future draft pick.

In his first game back with the Heat, Dwyane Wade scored only three points on a salty 1-for-6 shooting from the floor in 22 minutes of action during a 91-85 win over the Bucks. Miami is home to Wade, though, so expect the 36-year-old veteran to play a lot better moving forward.
