It would be an understatement to say that the New York Knicks are falling apart right now. Although the team has Kristaps Porzingis as its franchise player, the Knicks are clearly a non-factor this season and are struggling to even make the postseason in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference.
Time is running out for the team to make a leap into the postseason, and their recent play has demonstrated that they have a long way to go to become viable postseason contenders. However, after the departures of Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks are free to determine their own destiny. Still, they have a major thorn in their side with the bad contract of Joakim Noah still on their books.
In fact, the Knicks signed Noah to a four-year, $72 million contract in 2016. Needless to say, the contract was a mistake and Noah has fallen out of the Knicks' lineup indefinitely while making $18 million from just watching his team play. Nonetheless, Frank Isola of the NY Daily News, reported that Noah was ‘fiery' before leaving the team in Denver.

The Knicks are apparently stuck with Noah for at least two more years since no team will likely take Noah's bad contract. If this report is true, Noah may be unsatisfied with his situation as well. Hopefully, both teams can reach some type of agreement and move on in the coming months.
