The Los Angeles Lakers have been building a team from the ground up with numerous draft picks over the last few years. The storied franchise has drafted exceptionally well with a lot of notable players turnings heads throughout the league like Julius Randle, Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart.
Although there's been a lot of rumors floating around about a potential Kawhi Leonard trade which would cause the team to sacrifice a lot of their young assets, the young core is staying the course with the culture the team is currently building. During an interview with Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Hart talked about the recent social media battles between players like Kuzma, Ball, and himself aren't to be taken nor would they impact what the team is trying to do.

It seems like people on the outside are asking if there’s something going on between us, but nah. Nothing stupid or childish is going to mess with the culture we’re trying to build and the winning mentality we’re trying to have.”
At this point, it's uncertain what the future holds for Hart and the Lakers young core. The team could simply pass on trading for Leonard if the price is too high and hope they land LeBron James and or Paul George in NBA free agency giving Hart and company more time to develop in what appears to be a thriving culture in Los Angeles.
Regardless of what transpires in the days, weeks or months ahead, Hart and the young core of this team have shown a lot of promise. A bright future will be on the horizon for these players one way or another, especially with the mindset they're practicing even in a time of such uncertainty.
