Everyone wants to watch Kobe Bryant’s jersey retirement live at Staples Center, but not everybody has the dough to shell out to pay for seats in the arena when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Golden State Warriors Monday.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the average cost of a seat in tonight’s contest is the highest for a regular season game this year.

You could feed a horde of people this Christmas spending $685, but even at a very expensive tag price, all the seats at Staples Center are expected to be occupied. It’s not always that people have the opportunity to see a legend of Bryant’s level get his jersey retired. Adding to the uniqueness of the event is the fact that the Lakers are going to retire both of Kobe’s numbers, No. 8 and No. 24.
As one of the most iconic and influential players not only of his generation but of all-time, Kobe Bryant gained a legion of followers from almost every corner of the globe. The five-time NBA champion impacted the game of basketball few others have or have had, and that would certainly reflect on the reception he's about to get Monday.
The legendary shooting guard played the entirety of his 20-year career with the Lakers and finished it with 33,643 points in his scoring ledger, currently third highest in the history of the NBA.
