It looks like new Los Angeles Clippers guard John Wall has his eyes on the “Battle of LA” against the Los Angeles Lakers.
In his interview with Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, Wall shared his excitement to play in the rivalry game between the two LA teams and noted his belief that it will be an intense battle. However, he did send some sort of a warning to the Purple and Gold, emphasizing that he knows it's the “best time to perform” when the bright lights are on.
“We know who they have over there, and we know who we have on our side. I think it's gonna be a great battle, and I think it's a great opportunity for me. I think a lot of people get to see me play on TV, with Kawhi and those guys they have a lot of TV games, I love the stage. When the lights is bright, that's the best time to perform, so I'm excited for it,” Wall said, per The Tribune.

While John Wall is not yet certain to get the starting point guard job for the Clippers, a lineup with him, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard is certainly intriguing. Imagine how they will match up with Russell Westbrook (or Kyrie Irving?), LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Considering the star-studded showdown, the Lakers-Clippers rivalry has even become a more must-see TV.
Of course, both teams will have to be healthy in their rivalry games. If not, it will be more difficult for the fans to settle which is the better LA team come the 2022-23 season.
