John Wall is ready to play again, and now that he's with the Los Angeles Clippers, he's prepared to prove his doubters wrong.
It has been over a year since Wall last played in the NBA. He is healthy, make no mistake, but he sat out the whole 2021-22 season as the Houston Rockets started their rebuilding efforts. After reaching a buyout with Houston and signing with the Clippers, though, Wall wants to make sure people will remember what he can do when he plays and given a significant role.
“For sure a lot of people have forgotten about me but it don’t take long to wake them back up,” Wall said in an interview with Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.
John Wall certainly has every reason top be optimistic about the future now that he is going to play again. In 40 games with the Rockets in 2020-21, he did average 20.6 points on 40.4 percent shooting along with 3.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists.

He'll be playing alongside Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on the Clippers, which should only open up the floor for him. While he will be competing with Reggie Jackson for the starting point guard job, the expectation is he'll thrive whether he starts or comes off the bench.
It ill definitely be interesting to see how Wall's Clippers stint will pan out. His addition could very well be a massive boost for LA, and the fact that he's hungry and motivated should only bode well with the team's NBA title aspirations for the 2022-23 season and beyond.
Sat down with John Wall for SportsCenter on how he went through the darkest time of his life the past couple of years, why he picked the Clippers so he doesn’t have to be Batman.
