Today's NBA fan is always looking for more ways to get closer to the game they love. There are already several ways to get information about the team you love, including stat trackers, highlight videos, and live apps. Now, however, thanks to an innovative partnership with sports technology company Second Spectrum, L.A. Clippers fans will have a new way to follow games.
The Clippers and Second Spectrum announced the launch of Clippers CourtVision on Wednesday. Kevin O'Connor laid out some of the finer details in an article for The Ringer.

It offers a variety of different camera angles and audio commentary options. You can even watch the game with in-arena sound, which makes your couch feel like a seat in the lower bowl of Staples Center.
CourtVision can be used in several different modes — Player, Coach, and Mascot, which use live tracking stats, play charts, and graphics, respectively. It’s like mainlining an advanced statistics database, a playbook, and a video game with an actual sporting event. And it looks even cooler than it sounds.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer recently joined FOX Sports to discuss the launch of Clippers CourtVision.
“When you watch football and you see that yellow first down line (on your screen), that's not real,” Ballmer said during his interview with FOX Sports. “And so we can do more of that, fast enough, real time, show you things that are interesting about the game. We're just gonna put it right there on the screen with this product called CourtVision.”
According to The Ringer, CourtVision is still in the early stages of development; it’s currently only available on Fox Sports Prime Ticket. However, Ballmer noted that other Fox regional sports networks can take steps toward using the technology if they choose.
