The Los Angeles Clippers' interest in All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler this summer is reportedly “slim to none,” according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Butler will become an unrestricted free agent this summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Sixers.

The swingman has been linked to the Clippers in the past. Butler reportedly had the Clippers as one of the teams he preferred to be traded to when he requested a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves at the beginning of the season.

LA will have cap space this summer to sign two max contract players. Amick says Kawhi Leonard is at the top of the team's wish-list.

Kawhi and Jimmy Butler – though I have been told consistently that their interest in Jimmy is slim to none.

Jimmy Butler is one of the best two-way players in the NBA. However, he can be a headcase and locker room problem at times.

In 61 games this season with the Timberwolves and Sixers, Butler is averaging 19.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest. The four-time All-Star is shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.3 percent from the free-throw line.

If Butler doesn't re-sign with the Sixers, he could take his talents to the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets if the Clippers say thanks, but no thanks.
