The Clippers are in second place in the Western Conference standings. They are 5.5 games back of the Los Angeles Lakers, although LA did go 2-1 against the Lakers before games were suspended in March.

Once the 2020 playoffs start, the Clippers will ultimately go as far as Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Williams can take them. With all due respect to the “Lob City” teams led by Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, this particular Clippers squad is a more legitimate title contender.

Williams, arguably the best sixth man in NBA history, was averaging 18.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists before games were put to a halt in March. The 33-year-old was also shooting 41.6 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Clippers will face the Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder for their eight seeding games before the playoffs start.
