L.A. Clippers point guard Lou Williams received the Best Off The Bench award by the National Basketball Players Association during the Players' Voice Awards. These awards are a direct result of voting by the players of the league, as the motto reads: “the only awards voted on BY the players, FOR the players.”

Williams made a splash to start the season with the Los Angeles Lakers, benefitting from the absence of D'Angelo Russell and taking the scoring load squarely on his shoulders, proving to be one of the most potent weapons off the bench.

Sweet Lou averaged 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game for the season, this time edging his former teammate on an equivalent award. He'll get the chance to give this award another go after being traded to the Clippers as part of the blockbuster Chris Paul deal.
