Over the last couple of years, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry changed the game with his 3-point shooting. On occasion, he'd break the internet with his no-look 3-pointers. He's just shoot, turn around, and start running back on defense, showing an elite level of confidence only the best shooters have. Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley tried it, and so far, he's 1-for-1.
With the Clippers blowing out the Cleveland Cavaliers at Staples Center on Sunday night, Patrick Beverley caught a pass from Lou Williams and raised up for a corner 3-pointer in front of the Cavs' bench. Someone on the opposing team's sidelines had something to say as he caught the pass, so Beverley turned while the ball was in mid-air to let them know the shot was good.

ClutchPoints posted the highlight of Beverley's no-look 3-pointer, but oddly enough, it couldn't be found anywhere else across social media. Instead, all the attention was on the Lakers-Nuggets game in Denver. After the game, Beverley joked in saying he wanted everyone to give his 3-pointer as much love as they gave Steph Curry's and then LeBron James' last month.
âI want that shot to go viral like how y'all be doing everybody else shot,â Patrick Beverley said. âLet my shit go viral too, now. Show me some love.â

Beverley did, however, appreciate that someone posted the highlight:

Only after Beverley's comments made the rounds on social media did the highlight finally get posted by a big page. Patrick Beverley immediately responded with a message to Steph Curry:

Beverley has shot 40 percent from beyond the arc over his last six years in the NBA, and he's shooting a career-high 43.6 percent from 3-point land this season. According to the nine-year veteran, the new Clippers coaching staff has been telling him to shoot more 3-pointers this season.
âAt the end of the season, our front office gives a breakdown of what you did good and what you didnât do good. One of the breakdowns that I didnât know â you think you know stuff until you see it on paper â and one of the breakdowns for me is turning down shots. With this new coaching staff, theyâve been telling me, âJust let it fly. Even if itâs contested Pat, let it fly. Historically, you are one of the top shooters in the NBA. The numbers show it, the percentages show it, just let it fly.' T-Lue, Kenny [Atkinson], Big Shot (Chauncey Billups), DC (Dan Craig) give me so much confidence offensively, especially playing with Kawhi and PG. Just let it fly. Iâve been fortunate that all those shots have been going in.â
Without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the lineup, Beverley posted 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 5-of-8 shooting with four 3-pointers. Lou Williams had the big night for the Clippers, finishing with 30 points and 10 assists for the fifth time in his NBA career.
Just for fun, here are some of Stephen Curry's best no-look 3-pointers:

Patrick Beverley probably won't make this a habit like Steph, but the man wants his respect.
