The L.A. Clippers have long played the little brother role in the City of Angels, with the majority of the attention going to the Lakers and their frequently star-studded lineups. While this might bother members of the Clippers, Patrick Beverley is taking the opposite approach.
The Clippers guard was actually very pleased that his team is so lowkey, and he hopes that it stays that way throughout the season.

Patrick Beverley believes that as long as the Clippers don't get too much media attention the team has the opportunity to ambush some of the more covered teams in the league.
So far, it seems like Beverley might have a point.
The Clippers are currently 4-2, and all four of those wins have come against teams that are expected to be playoff contenders.
Article Continues BelowThey have already beaten the Thunder, the Wizards, and perhaps most surprisingly, the Rockets twice already. The average margin of victory has been a whopping 17.75 points, as three of their wins have come in blowout fashion.
Patrick Beverley is doing his part, averaging 5.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game and starting all five of the games he has played in. The defensive specialist joined the Clippers last season and is coming off a knee injury that cost him all but 11 games of the 2017-18 season.
He is an important cog in a team that has no true star after the departures of Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan, but continues to produce gutsy wins with a squad of solid role players.
Not a lot of people are expecting Patrick Beverley and the Clippers to make a playoff run this season, but at the rate that they're going, the team could still be playing meaningful games come April.
