The United States saw another mass shooting on Tuesday, this time in Atlanta, Georgia. Eight people, including six Asian women, were killed at the hands of a gunman, in a story that has taken over national headlines. When asked about the attack following Wednesday night's game, Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George said enough is enough.

“I'm with the Asian community, I stand with them,” George said. “I don't believe in any type of hate crime. We’re all here to share this world together.”

Paul George admitted he was not fully informed on the tragedy that took place inside multiple massage parlors in Atlanta, but did say he planned to look into it on the plane ride home from Dallas to Los Angeles.

“I can’t comment on the situation because I don’t know much about it, but I feel and I've been raised this way: We share this world together. It's no point that any race should look at another race any less equal than they are. It's just a crazy time and crazy world we live in.”

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms had this to say following the attack in her city.

“Whatever the motivation was for this guy, we know that the majority of the victims were Asian,” Bottoms said in a statement. “We also know that this is an issue that is happening across the country. It is unacceptable, it is hateful, and it has to stop.”

Earlier this month, Jeremy Lin, who is currently with the Golden State Warriors' G League affiliate, came out with a Facebook post where he revealed an opposing player called him “coronavirus.”

“This has to stop,” Paul George said in his closing remarks. “We have to do better as brothers and sisters living in this world.”
