The Los Angeles Clippers were title contenders in 2019-20 for the first time in franchise history with superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George leading the way. The Clips were in second place in the Western Conference standings before the season was suspended due to COVID-19 with an impressive record of 44-20.
If the season gets canceled altogether, it would be a downer for Clipper supporters since they would have just watched their favorite basketball team rack up all those wins for nothing.
However, the offseason would provide the Clippers' front office with ample opportunities to improve the roster since no team in the NBA is perfect.
With that being said, one trade that makes sense for the Clippers to pursue is one that lands them Steven Adams from the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's the perfect rim roller and defensive enforcer Los Angeles needs alongside Leonard, George, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, and Montrezl Harrell.

He also shot 59.1 percent from the field and 59.0 percent from the free-throw line. Adams racked up 21 double-doubles and the Thunder's offensive rating increased by 6.1 points when the “Big Kiwi” was on the floor.
The Clippers were the third-best rebounding squad in the league this season, grabbing 48.0 per game as a team. Los Angeles would easily spike up to number one with Adams in the fold. There is arguably no one in the league stronger than Adams. His ability to grab offensive and defensive boards in the trenches is unique to say the least.
In 2020-21, Adams is due $27.5 million. The Thunder may be interested in trading the center this offseason since OKC general manager Sam Presti may want to go younger. The Clippers could part ways with Ivica Zubac to get Adams on the squad.
Adams is a relentless competitor and a proven winner. He would fit in very well with the Clippers' locker room, especially since he already has a rapport with George. The two were teammates in OKC for two years.
With Adams in the fold, the Clippers could throw out a starting lineup of Beverley, George, Leonard, Marcus Morris, and Adams. Los Angeles needs to re-sign Morris since the team gave up a first-round pick to acquire him from the New York Knicks.
