DeAndre Jordan has never been an All-Star. Taken as the 35th pick in the 2008 NBA draft, Jordan has always seemed to have a burning desire to prove himself. This past season, he was named to the First Team All-NBA, an honor that validates his impact on the league.

Now, it seems Jordan now has the chance to finally show the entire world what he is capable of; suiting up for the Team USA at the Rio Olympics, the athletic big man's play has earned rave reviews from the coaching staff.

Stellar praise indeed from the same coach who gushed about Jordan's work ethic during practice. The NBA may have seen a shift to small ball, but big men are still prevalent in international play.
