The Los Angeles Dodgers are fresh off their sweep of the Phillies in the NLDS. Now they are channeling their energies into the NLCS, with the Cubs or Brewers waiting in the wings. In the meantime, the Dodger blue is showing support for the purple and gold before the series begins.
On Friday, the Dodgers recorded a video at Dodger Stadium, wearing Lakers gear while taking swings or ground balls.

As the year heads into mid-October, the Dodgers are looking to repeat as World Series champions. Meanwhile, the Lakers are just about to begin their season. Fittingly, the stars are aligning as some of the biggest names in sports are thriving in Los Angeles. For the Dodgers, they have the anonymity of Shohei Ohtani as well as Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, and others. Meanwhile, the Lakers got LeBron James and Luka Doncic.
However, James will miss the beginning of the season due to a mysterious injury. Additionally, Doncic is set to start his first full-time season in Los Angeles.
The bond between the Lakers and Dodgers remains rock solid.
Throughout time and memorium, two of LA's prominent sports franchises have constantly shown love for one another. That love was expressed in some of the most meaningful ways.
For instance, the late Kobe Bryant threw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium on a few occasions. In the years after his death, the Dodgers honored his life and legacy by hosting a Kobe Bryant Day. Additionally, LeBron James supported the Dodgers as they embarked on their title run last fall, culminating in a five-game victory over the Yankees.
Recently, the Buss Family agreed to a $10 billion sale of the Lakers to Dodgers owner Mark Walter. Additionally, Lakers legend Magic Johnson is a part-owner of the Dodgers and under him, they have won two World Series titles.
