The Los Angeles Lakers versus Phoenix Suns series has had its fair share of physicality. Star big man Anthony Davis was the latest to draw the short end of some contact.

AD was in severe pain after a huge elbow from Suns' Deandre Ayton:

Ayton had to take a second jump after mistiming a rebound attempt. But the Lakers star was right there behind him, and unfortunately had to eat a whole lot of elbow on Ayton's way down. Anthony Davis remained on the ground for good while, forcing a timeout to have to be called. The contact reportedly drew some blood from AD as well.

But thankfully, AD seems to be alright. This comes via a report from The Athletic's Lakers reporter Jova Buha.

Lakers fans are definitely happy to see that AD was able to get back on the court without skipping a beat. The series between the two Western Conference powerhouses has been one of the most riveting first-round series thus far. The last thing this series needs is another injury. With Chris Paul not being at 100% for the Suns, neither side would hope for another star having to play through an injury.

The Lakers and Suns are in a heated battle to take a pivotal Game 3.
