Sometimes, NBA fans are, well, somewhat silly. Let's just say that.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James would be giving up his No. 23 to Anthony Davis.

Then, on Thursday evening, LeBron made this post on Twitter:

In case you are having difficulty seeing it, it's the No. 6 with the prayer-hands emoji.

Okay, now follow along.

Kawhi Leonard is obviously a free agent this summer, and there has been some speculation that Leonard could actually join the Lakers and form a Big Three of Leonard, James and Davis.

Now, where did Leonard spend the 2018-19 campaign? Toronto. Who is from Toronto? Drake. What is a logo that Drake frequently uses? A No. 6 with prayer hands. Furthermore, Toronto is now often called “The Six.”

So, naturally, NBA fans are taking this to mean that Leonard is going to the Lakers and that this is essentially James' way of taunting Toronto.

It can't possibly mean that James is simply announcing he is changing jersey numbers, and it can't possibly mean that James is a hip-hop fan who is merely referencing something that a ton of people reference daily … right?

Of course, there is a chance that Leonard goes to the Lakers, but if he does, this arbitrary tweet posted by James on Thursday still won't hold any significance other than the fact that he is likely going back to wearing No. 6.

Leonard also has heavy free-agent interest from the Raptors team he just won a title with and the other LA squad in the Clippers.
