Isaiah Thomas has been relatively healthy this season after coming back from a hip injury. However, as the season comes to a close, it seems that the injury has not healed fully.
According to Tania Ganguli, IT is currently not with the Lakers to receive treatment options for his hip:
Isaiah Thomas is not with the team. He will be leaving Detroit today for New York to evaluate treatment options for his hip.

To recall, IT sustained a hip injury last year against the Minnesota Timberwolves when the 5-foot-9 guard was still with the Celtics. Come playoff time against Cleveland, due to a re-aggravation of a right femoral-acetabular impingement with labral tear during, he was forced out of the playoffs. Despite the injury, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers where he played for only 15 games before being sent to the Lakers.

It has definitely been a rough season for IT so far. It's sad to see a player his caliber getting traded around. After all, he's still in his prime and has proven that he is capable of carrying a team deep into the playoffs. He is due for a max contract but for IT, what's more important is for him to finally find a team he can call his home:
“Obviously I want to make a lot of money, but I want to be where I'm wanted at and where the team wants me to be who I am,” Thomas told The Times. “And that's being an All-Star. Being a special guard in this league.”
