Isaiah Thomas had perhaps his best outing since joining the Los Angeles Lakers, putting up 20 points, nine assists, and five rebounds off the bench in 31 minutes of play against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
What stuck out the most during his time on the floor was his sheer aggressiveness taking over the game, as the Lakers ran away with a 127-113 win to clinch their 30th victory of the regular season.
Yet, despite playing only 15 games with the Cavs earlier this season and being traded shortly after being acquired this past summer as part of the Kyrie Irving trade, Thomas offered there's no revenge factor in this win.

I only played 15 games for them, so it's really not about showing them what I can do. The world knows what I can do and what I bring to the table. I took it as another game and I just wanted to win and we did a helluva job as a team, beating that really good team over there.”
The fact that Thomas failed to mention the Cavs as a team tells a lot more than words let on. This is the same 5-foot-9 player who has played with a chip on his shoulder after being drafted dead last in the 2011 NBA Draft, the same player who relentlessly battled for a starting spot his first four years in the league, and the same player who has tried to prove the world that his hip is just fine after suffering a season-ending injury.
Thomas might not want to make it public, but it's sure the 29-year-old had some extra venom on his pouch when playing his former team, whether he wants to admit it or not.
