Sixth-man extraordinaire Jamal Crawford seems to have stumbled upon an opportunity for himself following the Los Angeles Lakers' opening night defeat at the hands of their cross-town rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to the 39-year-old combo guard, who at the moment is still without a team, the Lakers were relatively impressive in their debut. Nevertheless, Crawford feels that there is still a missing piece.
Bron and AD are great, like the Lakers shooters, BUT feels like they're missing another scoring creator…

Crawford is indeed one of the most potent pure scorers in the league, especially during his prime. However, he will be 40 this season, which appears to have scared off more than a few teams. In his mind though, he still has some gas left in the tank, and the three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner seems to think that he can be an able contributor for the Lakers this season.

As Crawford said, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis showed flashes of brilliance in the debut of L.A.'s new dynamic duo, but for the most part, these two superstars struggled against an outstanding Clippers defense.
The surprise of the evening came in the form of sharp-shooting veteran Danny Green who absolutely caught fire in this one. The 32-year-old had a marvelous debut for his new team, accounting for a team-high 28 points (on 10-of-14 shooting), seven three pointers (!), seven rebounds, two steals, and a block.
Green proved that he can still definitely shoot the ball, but in Crawford's mind, the two-time NBA champ could still use some help. In truth, however, L.A. stacked their side with a ton of shooters in the offseason, and the harsh reality for Crawford is that there might not be any room for him in Hollywood at the moment.
