Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma could soon be in line to make his season debut. According to head coach Frank Vogel, the 6-foot-9 forward will travel on this upcoming three-game road trip to and that it’s possible he returns to the floor in one of those games, per Bill Oram of The Athletic.

Kuzma missed all of the preseason with a left foot injury he's dealt with since being the last cut of Team USA in August, missing all six preseason games and bound to miss his fourth game of the regular season after he sits out on Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Lakers have won two in a row after losing their season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers, but could use a touch of added firepower, which could come in the form of the third-year wing.

Kuzma averaged 18.7 points and 5.5 rebounds last season and looked sharp during his short stint with Team USA in the offseason before he suffered the injury.

Los Angeles will face the Dallas Mavericks, the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls, meaning he could return as soon as Friday against the Mavs or as late as next Tuesday against the Bulls.

It's still unclear if Kuzma will start at small forward or come off the bench, but regardless of his place in the rotation, he should be a welcome addition for a Lakers team that has high playoff aspirations after missing out on the postseason in 2018-19.
