Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma knows the team has championship aspirations, but the talented swingman doesn't want to look ahead.
Kuzma is focusing on simply making the playoffs before thinking about a championship. The Lakers haven't made the postseason since 2013.
Kyle Kuzma on the #Lakers' goals as a team – "Make the playoffs. Can't look past that. That's the first step. This organization hasn't been in the playoffs in years."

With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the charge, the Lakers are legitimate title contenders. Along with the two superstars and Kyle Kuzma, LA's roster is headlined by Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, Quinn Cook, JaVale McGee, Jared Dudley, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Troy Daniels and Alex Caruso.
Barring something unforeseen happening, the Lakers are going to make the playoffs this upcoming season. Davis and LeBron are two of the best players in the NBA and motivated to win a title. New Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has playoff experience under his belt, as does his coaching staff. Los Angeles hired Jason Kidd, Lionel Hollins and Phil Handy after hiring Vogel.
We know what to expect from LeBron and AD. They are going to produce at an elite level all season. It's guys like Kuzma and the other supporting cast members who have to play at a high-level consistently for the Lakers to win it all in 2019-20.
