On Kyle Kuzma's birthday, he had a right to do anything he wanted. And that included holding up a poster of his face with Los Angeles Lakers teammate Lonzo Ball hoisting a jump shot as the body.

Yet here they are. Still going at it. For fans new to their antics, take their jab exchange with a grain of salt. This is just how these two young guns show love to each other. And it hasn't really affected their in-game performance anyway. The Lakers, with the addition of LeBron James — the best player in the world today — are primed to head back to playoff contention.

At one point last season, Kuzma and Ball were even compared to one another. Ball was obviously the more popular player being the second overall pick. Yet in a turn of events, Kuzma — the 27th overall pick — was the one who played consistently. Ball proved that the hype around him was real but couldn't escape the realities of being a rookie in the NBA.

On Kuzma, Ball said that he wasn't really that good in college. But now, he's happy that they are teammates and good friends. There's no beef and jealousy between the two rising stars.

“In college he wasn’t that good, to be honest,” Ball said of Kuzma as per Mike Schmitz of ESPN. “I don’t even remember him when we played him, but now I’m happy he’s on my team.”
