LeBron James was able to help the Los Angeles Lakers take down the San Antonio Spurs twice in the past week, leading to the comparison of James and the Gregg Popovich-led franchise.
Following Friday night's victory over San Antonio, the Lakers star shared his reaction to being likened to the Spurs.

The graphic takes into account what LeBron James and the Spurs have achieved since the 2003-2004 season, which was LeBron's rookie campaign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since his debut in the NBA, James has played in 1,530 games compared to San Antonio's 1,578 total games as an organization.
In addition, James has won 66.3 percent of his games while the Spurs have won 67.4 percent of their matches in the last 18 seasons. When it comes to making the playoffs, San Antonio has the advantage over James, making the playoffs 16 times compared to The King's 14.
However, James edges out San Antonio in NBA titles, winning four of them in his career compared to the three that the Spurs have won since 2003. Last season when LeBron's Lakers won the title, San Antonio failed to produce a winning-season or 47-plus wins for the first time in their franchise's history since the 1996-97 campaign.
Of course, that was the year before San Antonio took a young power forward out of Wake Forest named Tim Duncan. Ironically enough, James recently congratulated his friend Carmelo Anthony for surpassing Duncan on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
Regardless of where James has played, he's been the epitome of success in the NBA. While James hopes to help the Lakers defend their title as reigning NBA Champions, he has already accomplished what most franchises would dream about accomplishing.
