Lonzo Ball has impressed throughout his very short stint in the league, proving to be a natural fit as the Los Angeles Lakers' point guard of the future.
The 6-foot-6 rookie has struggled mightily with his shooting, but still managed to become the first player since the 1983-84 season to post 50 points, 40 rebounds, and 40 assists in his first five games in the league, according to Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey.
The only other player to go for 50 points, 35 rebounds and 35 assists in his first five games is none other than Philadelphia 76ers point forward Ben Simmons, who's totaled 82 points, 51 rebounds, and 37 assists through a handful of games.
Article Continues BelowBall's shooting line is woeful at best, shooting 31 percent from the floor, 23 percent from deep, and 56 percent from the foul line — but it is a short sample size — making the fact that his floor game is so well-rounded already, that much more impressive.
Plenty of scorers often find themselves disappearing after difficult stretches, but Ball has managed to impact the game with his passing, rebounding, and even his defense down the stretch — stats which will ultimately reflect on wins.
Ball's shooting touch will come with time as the game slows down for him through his rookie season, but knowing his impact on the floor is so in-tune to start his career can only have the Lakers brawn salivating at what's to come.
