The day many basketball fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. Tonight, Lonzo Ball will play for his very first NBA regular season game, and millions of eyeballs will be glued to their screens to watch how Ball will fare against the L.A. Clippers.
Ball has already arrived at Staples Center a couple of hours early, and though he’s focused on preparing for his much-awaited debut, he’s also mindful of what’s at stake tonight for the city’s baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ball entered the arena wearing a Dodgers uniform. It’s a timely gesture for the UCLA product as the Dodgers are playing tonight at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs, looking to clinch the pennant in the National League and book a spot in the World Series. The Dodgers are ahead in their National League Championship Series matchup with the Cubs, 3-1, and as of this writing, has a 7-0 lead in Game 5, thanks to a Cody Bellinger double that drove in Chris Taylor for a score in the first inning and much more.
Will the Dodgers and Lonzo Ball make it quite a night for the city of Los Angeles? Stay tuned.
