The Los Angeles Lakers won't be going to the playoffs this season, the team's superstar forward in LeBron James missed a slew of games due to injury and his job may be in jeopardy due to all of this but head coach Luke Walton still has a pretty good sense of humor so it appears.
With Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout signing a massive 12-year, $430 million contract with the Major League Baseball club on Tuesday afternoon, Walton still had a hilarious reaction to the newly inked pact.

Of course, Trout has become the best player in all of Major League Baseball while his more than $400 million contract still came somewhat as a surprise on Tuesday. Because Trout still had a few years remaining on his now previous deal with the Angels, Los Angeles wasn't expected to sign him to a new contract until free agency drew even closer. However, both Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper and San Diego Padres infielder Manny Machado signed similarly insane mega deals this offseason, presumably leading the Angels to act sooner rather than later in order to retain the services of Trout.
Things are not going nearly as well for Walton as they are for Trout, however. Most recently, the rumor mill churned out some speculation that the Lakers could target current Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers to ultimately replace Walton at the end of the 2018-19 season. Though the Lakers have struggled mightily under Walton's watch, it is hardly the former NBA forward's fault.
