The long-time beef between Los Angeles Lakers superstar Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley came right back up to the surface on Wednesday following a testy encounter between LA and the Minnesota Timebrwolves. The pair did not engage during the actual game, but Beverley made sure to clap back at Russ following the Lakers guard's savage post-game diss at the Wolves.
As they always say, the internet never forgets. This was exactly the case for Beverley after his nine-year-old tweet about Westbrook resurfaced. Back in 2013, when Pat Bev was still a sophomore with the Houston Rockets, he made a clear admission about his (then-future) nemesis:
“@kamm_newton: @patbev21 who's the toughest person you ever had to defend?” Russell Westbrook

At that point in time, Beverley was still a young gun trying to make it in the NBA. Westbrook was already doing Russell Westbrook things with the Oklahoma City Thunder and clearly, Russ made quite an impression on a young Pat Bev.

It doesn't sound like Beverley holds Westbrook in such high regard these days. On Wednesday, the Timberwolves veteran made sure to fire back at Westbrook after Russ said that nobody on the Timberwolves “has done anything in this league.” Beverley quickly responded with a tweet detailing his resume through the years:
Playoffs every year. 2 western conference finals with 2 different Teams👀👀👀 individual stats or team stats? I thought it was a team sport?? https://t.co/wlPhFB9alQ

While there may have been some mutual respect between these two in the past (is it possible that this still exists today?), one thing we can say for sure is that these two aren't going to be having dinner together anytime soon.
