LeBron James could legitimately play every position for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he wants his new team to show the same kind of fluidity this year. Today, we always hear that basketball has become “positionless”. Players are too versatile to be restricted to just one role. Guards are getting bigger and gaining post skills. Bigs are gaining ball handling skills and learning to shoot from range. Wing players are becoming elite distributors. It goes on and on. James says the Lakers want to be a positionless team this season. Given their skill set, it's very possible.

“There’s going to be times where we are all playing different positions. That’s going to be the benefit of our ball club,” James told Daily Express.

Lance Stephenson is a strong 6-foot-5 five guard that can defend point guards, shooting guards and small forwards. His aggression on both ends will make him a nuisance to opposing teams.

Michael Beasley's 6-foot-10 stature and shooting prowess will make him a threat as a small ball center, power forward and even a small forward at times. We can't forget to mention that Rajon Rondo could play as a combo guard alongside the 6-foot-6 Lonzo Ball throughout the year as well.

This only scratches the surface of the potential of LeBron James and the Lakers, as Kyle Kuzma presents yet another threat. The Lakers will put together some of the most intriguing lineups in the league this year. A positionless team like theirs could change how NBA teams are built.
