With LeBron James almost certainly returning to the Cavaliers, Dwyane Wade is the last big fish left on the NBA free agency market. After the Miami Heat did not offer Wade what he was looking for, he entertained offers and scheduled meetings with other teams. Since that time, the Heat have reportedly offered Wade a 2 year $40 million contract, similar to what Dirk Nowitzki signed this morning. Wade had a meeting scheduled with the Milwaukee Bucks for Wednesday, but according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, he has cancelled that meeting.

Rumors broke out late Monday night that Wade was on a private jet to Cleveland meeting with Dan Gilbert and LeBron James. Whether or not these reports are true is a different story. The rumor began on Twitter and fuel was added to the fire when a luxury private jet company tweeted this:

Now, we will find out if the reason Wade cancelled his meeting with the Bucks was because he is nearing a deal with the Cavs to rejoin forces with LeBron James, or if Miami has increased their offer to 2 years $50 million or simply added another year to the original offer, making it a 3-year, $60 million deal.
Dwyane Wade has shown an extreme amount of loyalty to the Miami Heat franchise and their front office. If he feels as if he has been spurned by them during this offseason, he may elect to compete for a championship in Cleveland. And lets be honest, the Cavs need as much as they can get to go up against the Warriors BIG 4 of Durant, Curry, Thompson, and Green.
