For sure, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade would want to bow out from his career with a playoff appearance, something that has eluded some of the NBA's greats such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Allen Iverson.

However, Wade also said that he would like to reach the post-season so that the younger players on the Heat roster can gain another year of playoff experience under their belt.

“It's important for the young guys to get more experience in the playoffs, so when they look at the lists of how many playoff games, me and UD are at the top and it’s a big drop-off from there,” Wade said per Ira Winderman of South Florida Sun Sentinel. “So more experience is needed for this organization going forward with this youth.”

As everybody already knows, Wade is in the midst of his One Last Dance farewell tour. He goes from arena to arena, getting standing ovations from the crowd, signing autographs, and exchanging jerseys with fellow NBA stars.

However, Wade would certainly not be satisfied in going out with just that. The former 2006 Finals MVP would like to taste one final playoff appearance before he finally hangs it up for good.

To add to that, Wade is also looking out for Miami's future. The Heat did make the post-season last year. But of course, another year of experience in the playoffs will certainly help guys such as Josh Richardson, Justice Winslow, and Bam Adebayo in their development as they transition to become the leaders of Miami in the future.

With Miami clinging on to the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference, Wade will have to dig deep in his bag to once again help them get there. The Heat currently have a game over the ninth place Orlando Magic. The Charlotte Hornets are also peeping by the rear view mirror, and are just 2.5 games behind the eighth-seeded Heat.

This race will figure to be bloodbath in this final stretch of the regular season.
